Vartega Launches EFB320
When shopping for chopped carbon fiber, you'll usually find different flavors of Standard Modulus carbon fiber (including from Vartega and our workhorse EFB120 product line). It's high performing and available at high volumes.
But what if your application requires higher mechanical performance? Then options and availability become more limited and more costly. You can instead just increase SM carbon fiber loading in the compound, but there are limits to this approach.
We've got good news: Vartega now sources sufficient feedstock of High Strength carbon fiber to offer a new product line built solely from High Strength carbon fiber: EFB320. As-compounded mechanicals for modulus and especially for strength will be higher. The price for our carbon fiber will still be substantially lower than virgin chopped CF options.
EFB320 is available off-the-shelf in our mainstream sizing options: PU3 (polyurethane) and PA8 (polyamide). Other sizing options can be built to order. Reach out for more information or to order samples!
