Vartega To Participate In Traxion’s Inaugural Accelerator Class

(Golden, CO) September 8, 2016 - Vartega Carbon Fiber Recycling is excited to announce that it will be participating in Traxion's inaugural accelerator class. Traxion is a business accelerator that invests seed capital and connects participating companies to experienced business mentors and strategic partners, providing the critical foundation needed for early stage companies to position themselves for success. Starting September 12th, Traxion is hosting a 10-week accelerator program in beautiful Golden, Colorado, that will provide founders of start-up businesses with a comprehensive, professionally designed educational program. Upon graduation, participating companies are well equipped to solicit and acquire follow-on investment.

Vartega is one of five companies selected to the first cohort and will be represented by Jordan Harris, Senior Process Engineer.

Having previously worked in a technical role with another startup, I was really interested in learning more about the business aspects of entrepreneurship. I’m looking forward to seeing a different side of what it takes to build a start-up and grateful for the opportunity to learn from successful Colorado professionals. It’s great having Traxion here in Golden and I’m glad we have the opportunity to participate in the very first cohort.

About Vartega Carbon Fiber Recycling
Vartega Carbon Fiber Recycling LLC is a recycler of advanced materials – specifically strong and lightweight carbon fiber – used in the aerospace, automotive, wind energy, and sporting goods industries. Founded in July 2014, Vartega has developed patent pending recycling technology to address the 15,000 metric tons of carbon fiber waste that is being landfilled and incinerated every year. Vartega’s technology uses a low energy chemistry-based process to free carbon fiber filaments for use in carbon fiber nonwoven fabrics, yarns, thermoplastic pellets, and 3D printing filaments. Materials utilizing Vartega’s low-cost recycled carbon fiber can be used to lightweight automobiles resulting in improved fuel economy and reduced emissions.
